There are a number of ways to manage your inventory directly on Zentail. The most common methods are through:

Different Types of Inventory Fields

Before making any edits, it's important to understand the different type of inventory updates you can make on Zentail.

Available Quantity (or simply "Quantity")

This is the quantity that would be available for purchase for this product.  If you have inventory for an out of stock SKU or are adding inventory to a SKU for the first time, this is the best field to use!

Onhand Quantity

(Onhand Quantity) - (quantity reserved for pending/pending payment orders) = (Available Quantity).

This is the total inventory you have on hand in your warehouse, including any inventory that is reserved for pending or pending payment orders. If you know exactly how many units have on hand in your warehouse, but do not know the quantity already put aside for pending or pending payment orders, this is the best way to update your inventory on Zentail!

Assembled Quantity

This field is available for Kit SKUs only.  This is the pre-packaged, already assembled quantity for an item.  Imagine you have a SKU-AB made up of one unit of SKU-A and one unit of SKU-B.  If you have 10 units in inventory of both SKU-A and SKU-B, you'll have 10 units of Quantity for SKU-AB.  SKU-A can also be sold independently, which would affect the quantity you have available of SKU-AB.  But if you've already packaged together another 4 units of SKUs A and B, you can count this towards our Assembled Quantity for SKU-AB.  So you would now have 14 units available of SKU-AB (10 that can be created from SKUs A and B and another 4 of assembled quantity!

Delta Quantity

(Delta Quantity) + (Previous Available Quantity) = (Updated Available Quantity)
The Delta Quantity is any change in inventory.  This can be a positive or negative number.  For example, if you know that you now have 10 more units available for purchase in your warehouse, but you are unsure how many total you have available at the moment, using the Delta Quantity to update your inventory is the best choice!

Reserved Quantity

You won't actually see this anywhere on Zentail or be able to edit this quantity.  But this is what is reserved for your pending payment or pending orders.  It's the difference between your Total Quantity and your Available Quantity.

Inbound Quantity

This is automatically calculated in Zentail from any Inbound Shipments you've created on Zentail or other inventory integrations.

Total Quantity

This is the sum of available quantity for a specific SKU across all of your warehouses.  This field is automatically calculated by Zentail and cannot be edited.

Using the Import Export Tool

You can import quantity updates using the Import / Export feature on Zentail.  The most common method is by creating a custom template.  However, you can also use Template-less reports.

Using the Inventory View

You can review this article to How to Edit and Manage Inventory and Bin Locations.

Using the API

A Custom Quick Edit View

The fields mentioned at the top of the article are all available in Quick Edit for each warehouse that exists in Zentail.  You can then sort, filter, and make edits to those quantities just as you would in any editable quick edit view.  For more information on Quick Edit, you can review this article on the Quick Edit Catalog View.
