We've hit the ground running this year at Zentail! As a reminder, our development team releases improvements to the product multiple times a month based on your feedback. This article highlights just a few noteworthy improvements we've deployed through the first half of 2023.

Overall Performance and Reliability Improvements

Through regular review of the platform, we've been able to improve the load times and processes for a number of features. Here's just a few features you may notice running more quickly from these efforts:

Digital Line Items with Shopify (Beta)

After noting the increased usage of Shopify digital line items, we have a beta to better support this functionality. The most common use case has been for shipping protection/insurance. To enroll in this beta, please reach out to our team via chat!

ShipBob

Zentail has updated its integration with Shipbob to leverage their most up-to-date API documentation. If this is a 3PL (Third Party Logistics) provider that you are looking to use, please refer to this article for more information. Link to Article

Kits & Alias Improvements

  1. Changes made to a component SKU's or reference SKU's cost field are automatically reflected on the corresponding Kit SKU(s) and/or Alias SKU(s).

  2. For SKUs automatically archived on Zentail, changes to inventory on component and reference SKUs unarchives Kits and Alias SKUs when appropriate.

Performance Improvements to our Public API

Zentail continues to improve its external API with the most recent updates aimed at improving overall response times by 20%.

What's Coming Up Next?

In the upcoming months, we expect to have updates that include (but are not limited to!) the following:

  • Target Plus

    • After completing the testing phase, Zentail has an active pilot program underway to confirm all requirements are working as intended with beta partners. We expect a more significant update in the upcoming months.

  • Listing Quality Improvements

    • We have a number of projects underway to further improve Zentail's ability to enable high quality listings across all channels. This includes projects to continue to invest in our SMART Types, Listing Status page, and ensuring we're on the leading edge of taxonomy available on each marketplace.

  • Analytics

    • We are currently testing ways to offer faster load times for the most referenced data on the Analytics page.
