As of June, 2025, Walmart now officially supports Amazon MCF (Multi-Channel Fulfillment) as a method of fulfilling Walmart orders. Amazon has also rolled out new 2026 preferred pricing to lower the cost of Multi-Channel Fulfillment, making now the perfect time to start leveraging your FBA inventory for Walmart. This article reviews how to configure FBA to fulfill Walmart orders, and what Zentail does to help you remain compliant.
Requirements
There are a few Walmart requirements to be aware of when enabling FBA for Walmart fulfillment. The good news is that Zentail is designed to automatically account for these rules on your behalf. As long as you’re using Zentail to route Walmart orders to FBA MCF, these requirements are handled for you to help ensure ongoing compliance.
✅ Unbranded Packaging
Walmart still requires unbranded packaging for shipping Walmart orders. All Walmart orders fulfilling with FBA MCF automatically include the flag for neutral branded packaging when creating the order with Amazon! Zentail users do not need to take any additional steps to enable this feature.
✅ Block Amazon Logistics as a carrier
Although it's okay to use FBA MCF for Walmart, Amazon Logistics is not an approved carrier. Put another way, it's not okay for Walmart orders to be delivered in an Amazon truck. To ensure you remain compliant, Zentail automatically blocks Amazon Logistics as a carrier for all Walmart orders being fulfilled with FBA MCF. Zentail users do not need to take any additional steps to enable this feature.
Set Up FBA MCF for Walmart
To configure Amazon FBA to fulfill Walmart Orders in Zentail you'll need to enable the Multichannel Fulfillment feature on your Amazon Integrations page in Zentail, and then make sure your FBA warehouse is enabled for Walmart.
To enable Walmart orders to use FBA please follow the steps below:
Go to your Account Settings page
Click on your "FBA" warehouse
Scroll down to "Warehouse Channel Overrides"
Toggle the Walmart Option to Enable
Make sure to select Update Warehouse to save your changes!
Pro Tip: You can use your Warehouse Priority settings to decide if you want FBA to be the first source of inventory or only used as backup if you're out of stock elsewhere
Important Shipping Time Consideration
When fulfilling Walmart orders through Amazon MCF, Amazon’s Standard service level may not always align with Walmart’s required handling timeframe. If an order is not confirmed as shipped within Walmart’s window (4 days), it may be automatically cancelled, which can negatively impact your Order Defect Rate. Historically, peak season is when sellers should be most aware of this risk. But from analyzing tens of thousands of orders, we've found Amazon MCF well exceeds Walmart's On-time Delivery (OTD) standards and less than 1% of orders have fulfillment issues resulting in an auto-cancelled order.
If you do wish to reduce timing-related risk, some sellers choose to map Walmart’s Standard shipping method to Expedited for FBA MCF. While Expedited fulfillment may increase costs, it can help ensure orders ship within Walmart’s required SLA. To enable this mapping, please contact Zentail Support.
