You've created a custom template, maybe it has 20... 30... 40 columns in it. And now you want to add just one more column. Instead of creating the template from scratch again, you can edit your existing custom templates! In addition to editing templates, you can also create a copy of an existing template or delete it all together!

How to Edit a Custom Template

To edit an existing custom template:

  1. Go to either the Import or Export tab in the navigation bar depending on if you want to edit an import template or an export template.

  2. Under the “Select Report Type” section on the left, you’ll be able to see the different report type dropdowns and their corresponding templates.

  3. Find the template you wish to edit and click the pencil icon to edit that template.

  4. You will be redirected to an Edit Template view. Here, you can add or remove columns, change the name of the report, or add other rules just as you would when first creating the template. You can add a custom filter formula under the advanced options.

  5. When done, use the “save” button on the top right hand corner of the page to save your changes, then use the close button on the top left hand corner of the page to go back.

How to Copy a Custom Template

To make a copy of an existing template:

  1. Go to either the Import or Export tab in the navigation bar depending on if you want to edit an import template or an export template.

  2. Under the “Select Report Type” section on the left, you’ll be able to see the different report type dropdowns and their corresponding templates.

  3. Find the report you want to copy and select the 'copy' icon for that report. The copy icon is the second from the left, with the icon of the two pages.

  4. You will be re-directed to an Edit Template view to edit the cloned template. Here, you can add or remove columns, change the name of the report, or add other rules just as you would when first creating the template. Note: The title of this template will be changed to include the word "copy" at the end of it. You can simply edit this while still on this Edit Template view to display the appropriate title.

  5. When done, use the “save” button on the top right hand corner of the page to save your changes, then use the close button on the top left hand corner of the page to go back.

How to Delete a Custom Template

To delete an existing custom template:

  1. Go to either the Import or Export tab in the navigation bar depending on if you want to edit an import template or an export template.

  2. Under the “Select Report Type” section on the left, you’ll be able to see the different report type dropdowns and their corresponding templates.

  3. Find the report you want to delete and select the trash can icon for that report, the second icon from the right.

  4. This will remove the template from the reports.
