ShipStation is a shipping service for sellers that do merchant fulfillment, and ShipStation integrates with Zentail.
Zentail sends the following order data into ShipStation:
SKU — the SKU in your Zentail catalog. Kits and packs work differently; see How kits and packs are sent to ShipStation below.

Zentail can handle both split shipments and combined shipments in ShipStation
How kits and packs are sent to ShipStation
When an order includes a kit (a bundle, pack or multi-pack SKU), what ShipStation receives depends on how Zentail filled the order from your inventory.
Built from components: ShipStation receives the component SKUs, not the kit SKU. Each component is a separate order item. Its quantity is the component quantity times the number of kits ordered. For example, an order for 2 of a kit containing 1 × SHIRT-RED and 3 × SOCK-BLK arrives as 2 × SHIRT-RED and 6 × SOCK-BLK.
Filled from Assembled Quantity: if you track pre-packed kits as Assembled Quantity, those units arrive in ShipStation under the kit SKU itself.
Zentail uses assembled kits first and builds the rest from components. So one order line can arrive as both: some units under the kit SKU and the rest as component SKUs.
If you don't use Assembled Quantity, ShipStation only ever receives the component SKUs.
The kit's price and tax are split across its component items, so the order total in ShipStation still matches the channel order.
How to send Channel Order Number and Channel to ShipStation
If you enable "Sending Channel Data", then Zentail will send the Channel Order Number and Channel to ShipStation in the Custom 1 and Custom 2 fields. It also sends the order's deliver-by date in the Custom 3 field, written like 2026-10-26, when the channel provides one. Learn more about this feature here!
