A Kit SKU is a SKU that either has multiple units of an underlying SKU (aka "Pack") or multiple underlying SKUs (aka "Bundle"). You can use this powerful feature in Zentail to list multi-pack products or gift bundles to different sales channels!

Managing Kit Inventories:

Below is an example inventory of an individual SKU's quantity, this SKU is used for a Kit SKU that is a 2-pack of the individual SKU.

The quantity for the individual SKU at the main warehouse is 33. For the 2-pack Kit, the highest number of possible 2-packs is 16, which is reflected on the quantity of the Kit SKU below.

"Assembled Quantity" refers to the number of packages that already exist and are pre-packaged rather than the quantity Zentail is grouping together when you create a Kit.

Creating Kits in Bulk

Navigate to the "Product Data" template under "Run Existing Report" in your Import/Export page. Select the report labeled "Kits" and then select "Upload CSV File" to submit a .csv file you've prepared.

Your .csv file should have the following headers in this order: "SKU, Component SKU, Component SKU units" and each kit component should have a separate line in the spreadsheet. If you need to download a template with the correct headers, switch to "Download Report" and select "Download Template Only", then you can use that template to type out your new kits.

Both your kit SKUs and component SKUs can already exist previously in Zentail or if they do not exist, Zentail can create them after uploading this report (if the "Create new SKUs in Zentail if they do not already exist" box is checked upon uploading).
