What happens when an invoice is overdue

How we remind you about an unpaid Zentail invoice, when access is paused, and how to pay.

Written by Dan Sugarman

If a Zentail invoice goes unpaid past its due date, we send reminders over the following weeks. If it's still unpaid after 30 days, we pause access to Zentail until it's paid. This article explains each step and how to pay.

When an invoice is due

  • Charged to a card: we charge the card when the invoice is issued. If the charge fails, the invoice is overdue from that day.

  • Emailed invoices: each one has a Pay link and is due at the end of your payment terms.

If your invoices are charged to a card, keep that card up to date in Account Settings → Billing → Update Credit Card.

What happens, day by day

Days count from the invoice's due date.

  • Day 1: we email your billing contacts that the invoice is overdue.

  • Day 3: a second reminder email.

  • Day 7: another reminder. A banner appears in Zentail for users who can see billing, and our team may reach out.

  • Day 14: an email giving the date your access will be paused. The banner now shows to everyone on your account, and our team will call you.

  • Day 21: a final notice email.

  • Day 30: if the invoice is still unpaid, we pause access to Zentail and email you to say so.

You always get at least 14 days' notice after the banner first appears, so a pause can come later than day 30. The date in our emails is the one that applies.

What a pause means

While access is paused, you and your team can't use the Zentail app. Your channel integrations keep running, so orders and inventory keep syncing with your marketplaces.

How to pay

  • Use the Pay link in any of our invoice or reminder emails.

  • Or open Account Settings → Billing in Zentail to see your invoices and go to the billing portal.

  • Paying by check or bank transfer? Contact us so we can record the payment. Reminders continue until it's recorded.

Once a card payment goes through, the banner clears and access comes back within about 30 minutes.

Need more time?

Contact us before your pause date. We may be able to agree a payment plan, and reminders and the pause stop while it runs.
