How AI Suggestions are counted

What counts as one AI Suggestion, when it's counted, and how your monthly allowance and packs are used.

Written by Dan Sugarman

AI Suggestions proposes fixes for the listing errors your channels report. Your plan includes a monthly allowance of suggestions, and you can add more with packs. This article explains what counts as one suggestion and when it's counted.

What counts as one suggestion

  • Each SKU a suggestion fixes counts once, for one attribute on one channel. If one suggestion fixes the Color error on 20 SKUs in a product group, it counts as 20.

  • A SKU listed on two storefronts of the same channel counts once.

  • On Amazon, a SKU listed as both merchant-fulfilled and Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) under the same SKU counts once.

  • A suggestion counts the same whether our AI found the value or we filled it by a rule, such as when the channel allows only one value.

When it's counted

  • A suggestion is counted when it first appears in Zentail, not when you accept it.

  • Accepting it, rejecting it, or leaving it alone doesn't change the count.

  • Seeing or downloading it again is free.

When a SKU counts again

  • A SKU counts again only when the channel refuses a value on it and we suggest a new one. The refusal is a new error, so the new suggestion is a new count.

  • We improve our models and re-check suggestions over time. If we change our suggestion for the same error, it doesn't count again.

  • If you reject a suggestion and we later offer a different one for the same error, that doesn't count again either.

  • If an error clears and later comes back unchanged, the SKU isn't counted again.

All or nothing

A suggestion reaches every SKU it fixes, or none of them. If what's left in your allowance and packs can't cover every one of those SKUs, the suggestion waits, and nothing is counted. You'll never get a suggestion on only some of the SKUs it fixes.

Your monthly allowance

  • Your plan includes a set number of suggestions each month for your Zentail account. The Usage page shows how many.

  • The allowance resets on the 1st of each month, at midnight US Eastern time. Anything unused doesn't roll over.

  • It covers only SKUs whose error was first seen that month. Older errors always use a pack.

  • An error that clears and later comes back is treated as first seen on the day it returned. So if it needs a new suggestion, your allowance can cover it.

Packs

  • Packs add suggestions to your account, and they never expire.

  • New errors use a pack once your monthly allowance runs out. Older errors always use a pack.

  • When you have more than one pack, the oldest is used first.

  • To get a pack, use Buy a pack on the Usage page and pay with a card on file or a new card. Only a user with billing access can buy one. For a different size, message us in chat or email [email protected] for a quote.

When suggestions wait

  • When your allowance and packs can't cover a suggestion, new suggestions for your account pause until you add a pack or a new month's allowance starts.

  • Your errors stay visible the whole time, and nothing is billed as overage.

  • Suggestions still waiting when a new month starts are for errors first seen before that month. The new allowance doesn't cover them, so they need a pack. While your new allowance lasts, the Usage page won't show them as waiting.

What's never counted

  • Errors we can't suggest a fix for.

  • Suggestions marked Weak, our lowest confidence level.

  • Seeing, downloading, or accepting a suggestion again.

  • Suggestions your account received before AI Suggestions billing started, including during a preview.

Reading the Usage page

  • Open the Usage page at app.zentail.com/billing/ai-suggestions. It shows what's included this month, your pack balance, and what happens when you run out.

  • The Recent suggestions table lists one row per counted SKU. In the Counted column, Allowance means that SKU used your monthly allowance, and Pack means it used one of your packs.
