Zentail's Condition field has 20 values. Every channel keeps its own list of conditions, so Zentail translates your value before it publishes. This article shows what each one becomes on eBay, Amazon, Walmart and Target Plus.

Use it when you are deciding which value to pick, or when a listing published with a condition you did not expect.

The eBay column shows eBay's API value rather than the words a buyer sees. eBay labels the same condition differently in different categories — USED_EXCELLENT shows as "Used" in one category and "Pre-owned" in another — so there is no single label to print here.

"not sent" means Zentail deliberately leaves the condition off that listing. The channel has no equivalent, and sending the nearest one would describe your item wrongly. The listing still publishes; it just carries no condition, and the channel applies its own default.

"no fixed translation" means Zentail has no set answer for that pair, so it works it out per category:

Four groups of values in the list are easy to mix up. Here is what separates them.

Refurbished and Manufacturer Refurbished are not the same seller. Refurbished means you refurbished it, and publishes as SELLER_REFURBISHED. Manufacturer Refurbished means the brand or an authorized partner did, and publishes as CERTIFIED_REFURBISHED. eBay treats these as different programs with different approval requirements, so picking the wrong one is the most common cause of a rejected refurbished listing.

Excellent - Refurbished, Good - Refurbished and Fair - Refurbished all publish as SELLER_REFURBISHED on eBay — the grade is not carried through. The grade is carried through on Walmart, where the three become Restored: Like New, Restored: Good and Restored: Fair. Pick by what Walmart should show; eBay will read all three the same way.

Used - Excellent sits above UsedVeryGood, not below it. On eBay's used scale USED_EXCELLENT is the highest standard used grade, one step under LIKE_NEW. If you mean "used, condition unremarkable", UsedGood is the value you want.

UsedGood, Pre-Owned: Good and Club all publish as USED_GOOD on eBay and used_good on Amazon, except that Club publishes as club_club on Amazon. Use Club only for warehouse-club stock.

Zentail translating your value correctly does not guarantee the channel accepts it.

Every channel narrows its condition list per category. A value that publishes fine in one category can be rejected in the next, because that category does not offer it. When eBay's category does not accept the condition Zentail resolved, Zentail sends the closest accepted grade in the same family rather than failing the listing.

Some conditions need approval before you can use them. eBay gates its refurbished conditions behind seller programs you have to apply for. If you are not approved, a listing using SELLER_REFURBISHED or CERTIFIED_REFURBISHED is rejected with an error even though the value itself is valid for the category. Check your eBay seller account for which refurbished programs you are enrolled in before using those values.
